Lloyd E. Hoyt

Lloyd E. Hoyt, 73, of Avalon (Johnstown Township) died of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at his home. Lloyd was born in Beloit on January 15, 1939, the son of Walter and Vida (Pratt) Hoyt. He attended South Beloit schools and served in the U. S. Navy from January 10, 1957 to January 4, 1960. He married Elda B. Pinnow on October 31, 1965. Lloyd was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, IL for over 30 years. He was a member of Rock Prairie United Presbyterian Church, the United Auto Workers Union, Beloit Moose Club and the YMCA. He was active in the Watertown Roller Skating Club and was a former Boy Scout leader and 4-H leader.
Surviving are one son, Lloyd W. Hoyt of Avalon, one brother, Niles Hoyt of Rockford, Il, one sister, Bernadine Pike of Colorado Springs, CO, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Albert and Virginia Pinnow of Belvidere, IL, nieces and nephews. Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Elda B. Hoyt on March 11, 2011.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert Sr. and Elda Pinnow, sisters-in-law, Marie Hoyt and Inez Pinnow, nieces Penny Hoyt and Mary Pike.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with Pastor Jamie Swanson officiating. Burial with military honors by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 will be in the Old Johnstown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Monday at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. www.henkeclarson.com.
